In collaboration with a blockchain project, I was commissioned to create an animated NFT and this is what I came up with. This animation was made possible by importing vector Ai objects into C4D which were then extruded and texturized. Scene lighting was added, objects were animated through keyframing, and finally the animation was rendered. Below is a small example of the process in which I was able to create this from design to render.

The 2D mockup, general design, and inspiration material is all done within Adobe Illustrator. All shapes are fully vector objects that will be eventually exported as individual files.

All Shapes are separated and then exported as individual Ai files that will be used to be imported into C4D utilizing a plugin to convert the Ai files into an extrudable 3D object in C4D.

Once all the object have been imported, they are extruded to the proper depth, edges rounded to preference, and any some objects are warped around axis's. Final finishes are made to ensure all objects in their proper coordinates for proper animations and keyframing.
Each scene has its own unique file with its own keyframing and animated objects. Objects are animated by moving them to specific coordinates and keyframing it based on the timeline (frames) near the bottom of the application. Textures, scene backgrounds and lighting is added to bring the objects to life with realistic light ray properties. Most textures are "glass like" with different refraction settings that most resemble diamonds. Finally all scenes are CPU-rendered into AVI files.

Finally the AVI files are brought into Adobe After Effects and final lighting, shading, and transitions are implemented. MP4 and GIF files are exported to be used for publication.
